Afinca’o

Afinca’o is a group of diverse, passionate and experienced musicians from the Chicagoland area noted for their Salsa, Cha-Cha, Latin Jazz, and Merengue performances. Each of the members have played with world-renowned Latin recording artists like Gilberto Santa Rosa, Luis Enrique, Victor Manuelle, N’Klabe, Frankie Negron, Eddie Santiago, and more!  

Funkadesi

Funkadesi, for over 25 years, has been wowing crowds with their blend of Indian bhangra, Bollywood & folk with reggae, funk, and Afro-Caribbean grooves, Funkadesi emphatically personifies inclusive joy.

Gizzae

Gizzae is an award-winning reggae band. Their members come from the beautiful Carribbean island of Dominica, the Ancient and Holy Lands of Ethiopia, and the South Side of Chicago. A Chicago and Veggie Fest favorite, Gizzae brings people together to dance and celebrate.

Rico

Rico is as a band with a rich sound of diversified musical cultures influenced by the sound and spirit of Santana. Fiery and soulful, the band is comfortable in any genre and is right at home putting their spin on covers and musical pioneers from Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Hendrix, Santana, etc.

Zach

Zach is a nationally touring vegan singer-songwriter and has been performing his uplifting pop-folk music from house concerts to theatres to festivals for over a decade. He recently released a new record, Luminosity, and he is also the creator of Akron Peace Project, working to cultivate nonviolence in the self, the home, and the community.

Richard Enrique Daza – Special intermission guest , Saturday Aug. 10 , at 1:00 PM
We are thrilled to welcome young accordion virtuoso Richard Enrique Daza as our special intermission guest. Richard has been playing the energetic and charming Colombian folk music style known as “Vallenato” since he was a child. He has competed as a semifinalist in some of the biggest Vallenato competitions in Colombia. Richard grew up in the Chicago area and, since his teens, has played in his Colombian and Mexican born parents’ band, Caribe Son Internácional.
