Veggie Fest Chicago 2019 was held at Danada South Park, 2701 Navistar Circle, Lisle, IL 60532.
August 10 & 11, from 11AM to 8PM.

3. What Are the Transit Options for Veggie Fest?

Here are some different transportation methods to help you come and go from Veggie Fest :

Public Transportation
Metra makes getting to the Fest easy. Plan your trip today using the Metra Rail Tracker. From Lisle Train Station take an 8-minute Uber ride to the Fest. (Plan your itinerary with this link)

Uber & Lyft
Take an Uber or Lyft and get dropped off near the gates at 4045 Naperville Road, Lisle, IL 60532 (North Wing of the SOS International Meditation Center). To view detailed map, click here.

Parking
Convenient and security patrolled, FREE parking is available near the festival at Navistar, 2701 Navistar Circle, Lisle, IL 60532 (Get directions)

Bicycles
Veggie Fest offers bike parking in the Sensory Garden—Play For All parking lot: 2751 Navistar Drive, Lisle, IL 60532. Remember to roll with your lock to keep your bike secure while you’re at the festival.

 

4. Where is the Entrance to Veggie Fest?

Make your way to Danada South Park, 2701 Navistar Circle, Lisle, IL (Get Directions). There will be a MAIN ENTRANCE. Refer to the map right bellow for guidance.

6. Travel and Lodging

b. Which Airport Should I Fly Into?

  • Chicago O’Hare International Airport
  • Chicago Midway International Airport

There are also many transportation options including taxis, rental cars, ride sharing, and public transportation that will take you to your Veggie Fest destination in Lisle, IL.

7. Food Tickets

To enjoy the amazing vegan and vegetarian cuisine, purchase tickets for food at the Ticket Sales booth located near the Food Court. Each ticket is 1$ per. Pay with cash or credit card.

8. First Aid Triage and Treatment Tents

Located on the south end of the park, the First Aid Triage Tent provides hydration, bug spray, sunscreen and band-aids for VF guests and triages those needing a further evaluation at the Treatment Tent nearby. In the Treatment Tent, an array of First Aid services are provided and EMS is contacted when needed.

9. Allowed & Prohibited Items

The following items are ALLOWED at Veggie Fest

  • Strollers
  • Binoculars
  • Blankets
  • Wheelchairs and walkers
  • Cameras and Go Pro cameras without detachable lenses and other accessories (monopods, selfie sticks, tripods, GoPro mounts, and other attachments are not allowed).
  • Sealed sunscreen lotion (no aerosol containers)

The following items are PROHIBITED at Veggie Fest

  • Medicines needing to be inhaled or smoked are prohibited unless in a prescribed container.
  • Per Lisle Park District Policy there is no smoking or vaping allowed.
  • No cigarettes, E-Cigs, or Vaping devices.
  • Outside food and drinks are not allowed at the festival. 
  • No alcoholic beverages are sold or allowed at the festival.
  • Any and all professional video equipment—no video recording will be allowed.
  • Drones or any other remote flying devices.
  • Coolers of any kind (exceptions may be made for medical use)
  • Glass Containers
  • Firearms, explosives, and weapons of any kind (including pocket knives, pepper spray, fireworks, etc.)
  • Illegal and illicit substances of any kind
  • Drugs or drug paraphernalia.
  • Pets (except for service animals with proper documentation).
  • Unauthorized / unlicensed vendors are not allowed. No unauthorized solicitation and materials including handbills, flyers, stickers, beach balls, giveaways, samples, etc.
  • Bicycles inside the Festival grounds (free parking is available near festival entrance at the Sensory Garden—Play For All park).
  • Per Lisle Parks Policy all parks are non-smoking.

10. Safety at Veggie Fest

Veggie Fest is following the guidance of local, regional and national authorities regarding safety and security.

We want every guest to feel safe at the festival. If you have an immediate need while on-site, make your way to the Administration tent (C1) where the Safety team and police can be notified.

11. Children at Veggie Fest

Kids of all ages are welcome at Veggie Fest. Families should stop by the Children’s Activity tent to engage in the arts, crafts, face-paintings, music performances, and children’s parade. Check out the schedule and be prepared to be amazed! More informations here.

12. Be Part of the Festival

Veggie Fest is committed to supporting organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life of all beings sharing this beautiful planet.

  • a. Sustainability – Veggie Fest strives to mitigate its impact on the environment. We take pride in the efforts of our guests in helping to maintain the integrity of the park during the Veggie Fest weekend. Partner with us by participating in recycling and composting. 
  • b. Serving the Community – There are many opportunities to give back to our community. Feel free to drop by designated areas at the festival and discover how you can support these worthwhile causes: Blood Drive, Food Donation Drive, Sensory Garden and Playground—Play for All, Humanitarian Service Project, and People’s Resource Center of DuPage County.

13. Service Animals at the Festival

Pets are not allowed at the festival, but Service Animals (with proper documentation) are allowed. Emotional support animals, however, are not allowed at the festival.

14. Patrons with Mobility Limitations

  • The Festival grounds are wheelchair accessible, but please be aware that most of the festival is over natural terrain. If it should rain there will be mud in some places. 
  • We do not provide personal care or push service. Please plan ahead and bring attendants if needed. In addition, the festival does not provide wheelchairs for rent or loan. Please make arrangement in advance if a wheelchair is needed. 
  • Wheelchairs and power wheelchairs are allowed for use by patrons with mobility disabilities. For safety reasons, requests to use other power-driven mobility devices will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

15. Special Dietary and Medical Needs

  • Food allergens are listed at each food booth, but it’s always good practice to inquire. 
  • Outside food and drinks are not allowed at the festival. 
  • No alcoholic beverages are sold or allowed at the festival. 
  • A patron requiring insulin is allowed to bring his or her medically necessary materials and medications provided all medicine has a prescription label with the patron’s name. Out of concern for the festival staff and volunteers who handle the trash, please dispose of your medical waste and syringes in the proper disposal located at the medical tent (see map for location). Please do not dispose of these items in other trash bins at the festival.
