Maple Mustard Salad Dressing & Dip

With the addition of maple syrup and tahini, this salad dressing gives a fresh new taste to an old favorite. Enjoy it on crisp greens and your favorite salad vegetables! Because of its thick consistency, it is equally delicious as a dip for crudités.


 ½ cup tahini
  cup maple syrup or honey
 ½ cup rice vinegar
 ½ cup Dijon mustard
 ½ teaspoon garlic powder (or to taste)
 ½ teaspoon onion powder (or to taste)
 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
 Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Using a whisk, blend all ingredients until smooth.


Taste and adjust seasonings.


Pour over salad. Toss and serve.


Store leftovers in a glass container and refrigerate.

Note: Even though this dressing thickens when cold, it tosses easily with the salad. It is very flavorful, and a small amount coats your salad greens nicely.
