Afinca’o

This high energy Latin band specializes in Salsa, Cha-Cha, Latin Jazz, and Merengue. After listening to just a few notes, you will want to put on your dancing shoes—or kick them off! The band has played major festivals throughout Chicago, and they are looking forward to bringing their great rhythm and groove to the Veggie Fest stage.

Brother John

Chicago is famous for the Blues, and singer/guitarist/ pianist, Brother John Kattke, has been a soulful fixture on the Chicago Blues scene for decades. He has performed with legends, including Eric Clapton and Steve Miller. For Veggie Fest, Brother John is bringing his fantastic 7 piece band to play Blues, Soul, Rock, and Jazz for your listening and dancing pleasure.

Gizzae

Gizzae is an award-winning reggae band. Their members come from the beautiful Caribbean island of Dominica, the Ancient and Holy Lands of Ethiopia, and the South Side of Chicago. A Chicago and Veggie Fest favorite, Gizzae brings people together to dance and celebrate.

V. Holmes' "A Tribute to the Motown Greats"

V. Holmes’ "A Tribute to the Motown Greats" has become an anticipated treat at Veggie Fest. Vanessa Holmes and her outstanding singers perform Motown hits with unrivaled musicality that continue to draw audiences from all over the city and suburbs. Sing and dance along to Vanessa Holmes’s award-winning band.

Zach

Zach is a nationally touring vegan singer-songwriter and has been performing his uplifting pop-folk music from house concerts to theatres to festivals for over a decade. He recently released a new record, Luminosity, and he is also the creator of Akron Peace Project, working to cultivate nonviolence in the self, the home, and the community.

Deacon Blues

Deacon Blues was born as an affectionate tribute to the music of the legendary band, Steely Dan. A sophisticated blend of Rock, Jazz, and Pop, the twelve member band features many of Chicago’s finest musicians who will provide a dazzling listening experience and an irresistible inspiration to get up and dance.

Richard Enrique Daza – Special intermission guest , Saturday Aug. 10 , at 1:00 PM
We are thrilled to welcome young accordion virtuoso Richard Enrique Daza as our special intermission guest. Richard has been playing the energetic and charming Colombian folk music style known as “Vallenato” since he was a child. He has competed as a semifinalist in some of the biggest Vallenato competitions in Colombia. Richard grew up in the Chicago area and, since his teens, has played in his Colombian and Mexican born parents’ band, Caribe Son Internácional.
