Ingredients
3 cups fresh green beans, with ends snapped off
⅓ cup slivered almonds
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
1-2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce or gluten-free tamari
Freshly squeezed lemon juice to taste

Pour olive oil into a sauté pan. Cook garlic for 30 seconds over medium heat. Add the green beans, and sauté until cooked to desired tenderness.

In a separate pan, toast the almonds over medium heat until a golden brown, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. This should only take a few minutes.

Once the green beans are cooked, add the toasted almonds. Toss with soy sauce (or tamari) and lemon juice.
