Ingredients
1 small onion, chopped
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
¾ cup tahini
2 tablespoons miso
¾ cup boiling water

In a small skillet, sauté onion in vegetable oil until lightly browned.

Add tahini. Cook and stir for a few minutes until tahini gives off a roasted aroma.

Remove from heat. Stir in miso to taste. Add ¾ cup water and mix well. Add additional water, as needed, to make a smooth sauce.
Makes about 1 cup.
