Chocolate Hazelnut Spread

Vegan-Nutella-1-Wb
Did somebody say a healthy, vegan Nutella wasn't possible? Not anymore! This decadent chocolate hazelnut spread is sure to delight you and your family members. Whether enjoyed on toast, pancakes, in a myriad of breakfast recipes, or just as is, this is a treat your taste buds deserve!

Ingredients

 2 cups hazelnuts, roasted
  cup coconut sugar
 3 tablespoons cacao powder
 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  teaspoon salt

Instructions

1

For unroasted hazelnuts, roast the hazelnuts at 350°F for 10 minutes. (Don’t over roast them, as that will change the taste of the spread.)

2

Let the nuts cool to touch. Using a kitchen towel, gently rub the nuts to remove the skin.

3

Place the nuts in a Vitamix and blend until smooth, scraping the sides of blender jar occasionally. Be patient as it takes a few minutes, but you will soon see the butter.

4

Add coconut sugar, cacao, vanilla, and salt. Blend again until the ingredients are well-incorporated and smooth.

5

Enjoy the spread with your oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, toast or fresh fruit. The possibilities are endless!

Serving 16 tablespoons

Note:
Store in a covered jar in your refrigerator for up to six months.
