Candied Pecans

Candied pecans make tasty holiday treats and gifts. Rich in oleic acid and phenolic antioxidants, they are immune boosters, anti-inflammatory, and help make the skin glow. Ingredients

 1 cup (227 g) pecans
 1 tablespoon (15 ml) maple syrup
 ½ tablespoon (7 ml) coconut oil (melted)
  teaspoon (1 g) ground cinnamon
  teaspoon (1 g) sea salt

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (180° C).

In a bowl, place maple syrup, melted coconut oil, cinnamon, and salt. Mix

Add pecans and coat well with the mixture. Place on baking sheet, roast for 5 minutes.

Remove from oven. Stir and bake for another 5 minutes.

Let cool. Pecans will harden as they cool.
